Our Work

WATER
We discovered that many villages have no access to clean drinking water. Many villagers trek long distances to the nearest streams to collect water.  Since that is the place where they wash and do their toilet, this water is far from clean. Infant mortality is high and avoidable diseases like typhoid, cholera and guinea-worm are common.  To date we have sunk 17 wells and 3 boreholes. It costs as little as £300 to sink a well. This year (2009) we are being asked to provide 12 new wells and 1 borehole.
The promise of clean water at Imini enables farmers to process the Kernels into palm oil.
