Liberty team takes the Gospel to Akufo Village – Oct 2009 |
In October some of liberty evangelistic outreach travels up to Nigeria
- We target 1,000 radical dynamic disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ;-Saved, healed, filled, with the Holy Spirit and baptised in water.
“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58, NIV).
Please pray for the team so that signs and wonders will accompany their preaching of the work.. We believe there should be a bonfire for all implements of witch craft.
Sis Lara is organising 2 nights (3 days ) prayer and fasting from Monday 25th Tuesday 26th Wednesday 27th October to cover the team while they are on the front line. Liberty will pay if necessary |

| WHAT YOU HAVE HELPED US TO ACHIEVE IN THE PAST TEN YEARS. |
Most farmers are subsistence farming. Clean water and electricity are rare and most parents cannot afford to send their children to school. Children are sent to work from the age of four or five either helping on the farm or as petty traders. By providing free schooling, clean water, medical and pastoral care Liberty lifts communities out of ignorance, disease and low expectation. |

2 NEW PURPOSE BUILT SCHOOLS |
Sepeteri is strongly Muslim town. Our new school is over-subscribed. Each school has 2 wings with 8 classrooms, a Library, office, a toilet block and a well.
|

Twenty year 6th Pupils graduated this July. The first new school we built is at Imini where we have 9 acres of land, a borehole, flush toilets, a pineapple plantation and , our largest project is a new “state of the art2 teacher accommodation. We help with 2 other schools paying salaries for teachers at Araromi-Idowu and giving money towards new schools in Ondo State. We run adult literacy classes in several villages and have awarded 20 scholarships to university students.

| NEW ACCOMODATION FOR OUR TEACHERS |
The picture shows Mrs. Morin Nylander, School Governor and Mrs. Grace Enomate Liberty Secretary inspecting the prestigious new 13 room teacher’s block. Until now our teachers have lived in typical village conditions with no running water, electricity and little sanitation. As we complete this structure each teacher will have their own bedroom, some en suite. There is a common room, 2 kitchens, a library and IT facilities. A generator will ensure continuous electricity, most of the staff is studying for their MA’s and is very dedicated to their work. We have 22 salaried teachers. |

| CLEAN WATER |
Clean drinking water saves lives reducing the incidence of disease like typhoid, dysentery, cholera, diarrhea and vomiting. Over the last with your help we have been able to sink 16 wells, borehole and repair 2 water for the entire village. We are still receiving requests and have identified a need for 16 more wells. |

YOU CAN HELP!
Each well costs £300 and a borehole is £3,000.
LIVES SAVED and…
So far we have provided free medical support for some 60,000 needy people including 78 cataract surgeries and minor ops. Our expert team of 300 volunteers consists of consultant, ophalmologists, surgeons, pharmacists, dentists, nurses and physios.
Our WELL WOMAN CLINIS in Ibadan is headed by Prof Ronke Baiyeroju where through breast examinations, CV smears, BP checks and blood tests many lives have been saved. |
 |
| MOBILE OPERATING THEATRE AND OPTHALMIC MICROSCOPE |
Our latest faith project is to obtain these costly facilities. We have the surgeons but not the equipment.
The joy of enabling the blind to see cannot be quantified. The cost is estimated at £100,000 for new but we believe it will be done. |
 |
| PASTORAL CARE |
Each year we have a major outreach to the villages offering minor surgery, cataract operations, counseling, food and clothing. Our team numbers over 300 professionals giving their expertise. When the team leaves the teachers and pastors take over, living among the people, always at hand to help. Liberty has helped to build up to 60 village churches and provided 2 buses and 13 motorcycles for our workers. We have the joy of seeing many lives radically changed. Our desire is to do more. There are thousands of African villages needing our help. |
