Some of our success stories
Prosthetics for Victor
We met Victor in 2008. For five years he had been walking on crutches since he was hit by a bus which killed his friend and left him with an above the knee amputation. Liberty paid his prosthesis. He has become a valued member of our youth team.
An elder of Temidire was saved and instantly healed of a long-standing back pain. He insisted that a church should start that very Sunday in his house. The entire village freed from the power of the Ogboni cult. They received freedom to progress spiritually, mentally and physically. The village chief donated land to build a school and church.
Let there be light!Mama Funmi had bi-lateral cataracts. She had never seen her teenage grand daughter. She had to be operated on twice. Before she left home on the first day, she spoke to her room “I am leaving you in darkness. When I come back I will see light”. She regained her sight and was jubilant. She was the most excited person in the village. She had her second surgery on Saturday and saw with both eyes on Sunday.
Agbeleke made it through Uni"I was privileged to receive one of the twenty five scholarships awarded at the Liberty Youth convention held in October 2000. My Dad died on the 29th of May 1988 leaving my mum to bring us up. There are six of us in the family and three in Higher Education. The scholarship awarded to me was 45,000 naira. It has helped me immeasurably and lifted some of the burden on my mum. I am extremely grateful to the organisers of Liberty for the grant. Thank you very much indeed and may God bless you."
